The Twilight Hunter…

Hi everybody

Continuing on from my last post, here’s another painting in my Owl series. This is ‘The Twilight’ Hunter, Watercolour on Arches CP paper. 140lb. 1/2 Imperial. These birds are so graceful, and deadly if you happen to be a mouse. This is a beautiful specimen of a Barn Owl and the photo reference is from Nick Hursts marvelous photography, used with kind permission. Thanks Nick. He has quite a lot of birds on his website so I won’t be stuck for subjects anytime soon!

Happy painting

New Opportunities…

Hi everybody

It’s been a great week for broadening my horizons on the exhibition front. My membership of the Camel Art Society has been upgraded to full member, which means I’m now able to exhibit at Padstow and Tintagel exhibitions. I’ve been on the waiting list for just over two years as an associate.

Also, I’ve been invited to join the Gwynngala Art Group that is based in Launceston. Gwynngala is a group of local professional and semi-professional artists. They hold various exhibitions throughout the year in locations like Padstow and Rock and also in Launceston. You can view their website at http://www.artofgwynngala.co.uk and they are also on Facebook

I will update the exhibition details closer to the time. In the meantime I’d better get painting!

Happy painting
